Recent Community Support

Our aim is to see as close to 100% of donations are spent on identifiable projects for worthy local causes. Where relevant we value-add those funds with our physical services and advisory support.

Our Annual Charity Golf Day has raised and distributed some $590,000 within the Wagga community over the past 27 years since the event’s inception.

The following are examples of where we spent the money we raised this past year, noting the increasing  stress in our community through rising costs of living.

Group of four people standing outdoors, with one person handing a gift bag to another, holding a certificate of appreciation. All are smiling, with a sign and greenery in the background, and a purple banner with 'Thank you!' and 'Wagga Women's Health Centre' written on it.

Women’s Health Centre – Supplied $1,000 in vouchers for food, clothing and personal health products from businesses providing the support at agreed discounted rates.

Legacy – With increasing homelessness and youth on streets at night, there is increasing intrusion onto the land around Legacy House. We donated $4,000 to Legacy for a security system and appropriate deterrent equipment and activated lighting.

Carevan – Provided $3,000 for a new and larger fridge.

Country Hope – We donated $4,000 to support children with cancer and their families and carers

Salvation Army - To cope with the needs of increased homeless people, we paid $2,500 for a large freezer and to broadly support their selfless efforts in the Wagga community.

Amie St Clair Melanoma Trust – This amazing organisation is the leading group in raising melanoma awareness and identification nationally. We contributed $4,000 towards the operation of the new and leading-edge 3-D body mapping system for identifying and tracking “whole of body” melanoma risks, one of only 15 in Australia.  From the Wagga base, this equipment and staff services SW NSW as part of a national melanoma research project. We also provide other suppport to to this most worthy group.

Pro Patria – We contributed $4,000 to equip offices and work centre at the rapidly evolving facility supporting service veterans and first responders. The reduced support from entities such as Veterans Affairs and the National/State RSL has driven the need for such a facility. Pro Patria has close links with Legacy and our local RSL Club.

Wagga Prostate Cancer Support Group – donation of $2,000 for this worthy cause.

Red Hill School Breakfast – Donation of $1,000 to feeding children not able to fully fed at home. We also add our labour cooking breakfasts.

Lilier Lodge – donated $5,500 to support their dedicated accommodation facilities for those undertaking specialist cancer treatment. We also provide home cooked food and company over dinner to those using the facility as part rostered system with other community service organisations.

McGrath Foundation - $500 donation to support breast cancer research and treatments.

Vilomah Community – donated $3,000 to support families where there is loss of a baby at or soon after birth.

Riverina Bluebell – donation of $2,000 for those suffering depression.

In 2024-25 we donated a total of $62,000
